Takaki Restaurant

We made it to Hita, Japan!! This is the town I lived in from 2001-2003. We ate dinner at my friend Takaki`s restaurant, it was so oishi!(that is delicious for those that don't speak Japanese)

Osaka => Oita => Hita

Our trip to Kyushu(the Island that I used to live on) started by us traveling to Osaka from Kyoto, then to our ferry. It was an overnight ferry that took 12 hours. Our sleeping quarters were very tight! We slept in rows in a room with 40 other people! The people across from us were super nice and we ended up having a conversation with them and drinking beer.

Salimos desde Osaka para Hita, con escala en Oita y mientras esperabamos para subirnos al Ferry vimos a un monton de gente disfrazados y con pelucas de distintos colores y cosas raras.

El viaje en el ferry estuvo muy bueno, duro 12 hs y dormimos en un cuarto con otras 20 personas mas o menos jaja.

Llegamos a Oita a las 6:30am y tratamos de hacer dedo para Hita pero no resulto asique tomamos un tren.

Kyoto

After an 11 hour train ride including sleeping in a station and getting many looks.....we arrived in Kyoto!!

Despues de 11 horas en el tren incluyendo que dormimos en la estacion por 5 horas, llegamos a Kyoto.
Solo para que sepan en Kyoto los templos budistas fueron declarados patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO.

Our hostel room at Kyoto City Hostel

Saving money and eating in at our hostel. We found a food store that everything was 100 Yen(about 1.12 USD) So, we bought all the stuff needed for sandwiches and rice!

Fushimi Inari Shrine

This shrine is called Fushimi Inari Shrine, it is really cool because torri(the orange looking archs) are donated from all over Japan and put up next to each other creating a path up a mountain.

Es especialmente conocido por los miles de toriis rojos que delimitan el camino por la colina en la cual se encuentra situada el santuario. Los torii son donaciones de particulares, familias o compañías.

Ginkakuji Temple

This is called Ginkakuji Temple, it has beautiful gardens.

Además del edificio, el templo cuenta con jardines cubiertos de musgo y un jardin japones.

Forma parte del conjunto de Monumentos historicos de la antigua Kyoto.
