All you can eat and drink for $35 a person! We had 4 plates of meat and 4 plates of vegetables! I don't think the waitress thought we were serious when we kept ordering....Agustin took the meal as a challenge! Argentina 1 Japan 0 After our meal! Finally, the perfect size beer! The following pictures are of Onta, a small pottery village about 20 minutes from Hita. The potters still use traditional methods to making pottery. They do not use electricity, instead they use the river water to smooth the clay, and they use their feet to spin the wheel. The village is run by 10 pottery families. Unfortunately, they are in fear of losing their way of life due to the recession.
Yoko quien nos dio hospedaje nos llevo a Onta, en donde viven 10 familias que se dedican solo a la ceramica usando metodos tradicionales para hacerla.
The pottery drying in the sun. These giant wooden poles crush the clay and make it more refined. The water from the stream helps to move the poles up and down. A local Onta Potter hard at work! Agustin, Yoko, and Kelly in Onta

When we arrived the gasses were too strong, so the rim was closed off. Disappointed, we hung around to see if the wind direction would change......and it did! The mountain opened and we could see inside the volcano! Notice the BLUE lava! Its beautiful! Yoko`s 2nd home in Mt. Aso. It is so nice and has its own onsen( a natural hot spring that goes into her tub) Okonomyaki with Akemi at Ichijiku`s other restaurant!
