We booked a 3 day 2 night cruise with Asia Cruises, not knowing exactly what we signed up for, we boarded the bus! Our bus was brand new and held 40 people. When we arrived at Halong Bay city we joined up with the thousands of other people that signed up for cruises to this popular destination. There were hundreds of boats and they for the most part looked the same! We boarded the boat, ate lunch, and chilled as we sailed the bay. Our first stop was at a cave, then we had time for Kayaking, then it was dinner time and happy hour! On our second day we got off the boat, went bike riding around Cat Ba Island, visited a war hospital build in a cave, then took a small boat to our private Island resort- Monkey Island! On the Island we got a bungalow, ate lunch, and chilled on the beach! Later, during the day we hiked up the mountain to get to the other side to see the monkeys. We saw about 10 monkeys including baby monkeys! At night we had an amazing BBQ. The resort was the only thing on the Island and there were 24 of us on the Island. We had wonderful weather, enjoyed ourselves, and met some really nice travelers.

Keep the pictures and commentary coming. This cruise sounds a whole lot nicer than the one in China. Halong Bay is really beautiful. Mom
