Motorbike Trip - Cambodia

So we were in the Southeastern province and wanted to go to the Northeastern province of Ratantkiri. There are two ways to get there.....back track and go on a bus for 11 hours OR hire a moto bike with a driver and take the adventours drive and find it! We opted for the bike ride and set out! The first 3 hours were on a dirt road, the following 6.5 hours were on a path through the Cambodian jungles. There were NO street signs, no bathrooms, hardly any signs of life except the occasional house in the middle of literally NOWHERE. Our drivers didn't speak any English, but we made it to our destination in one piece but sore as hell!

The start of our trip! We had to cover our faces to protect us from the orange dirt....we were covered in dirt when we arrived! Head to toe!

Our drivers checking out our bikes!
This is a common machine here in Cambodia, it crushes sugarcane into juice- yummy and a glass is only .23 cents!
One of our breaks!

We were six on this trip, a Canadian, us and our drivers!

That is NOT makeup.... I am covered in orange dirt!

School children walking home for lunch

The "Road", at times we had to hop off and walk to meet the driver-

A police officer that we saw along the way, his bike had gotten stuck so our drivers helped him- nice gun....

Jungle stops!

Houses we saw along the way. There is no electricity or running water in these parts. It would take them 4 hours to get anywhere to buy their goods.

We saw many children along the way and they always smiled, waved and screamed "Hello!!!"

Agustin's bike got a flat tire....his driver was the leader and also the fastest driver!

We had to cross a river at one point

After 10.5 hours of being on the back of a motorbike, we made it! We were glad we did the trip, would recommend it, but wouldn't do it again! OUCH!
